Why Clothing is Not Superficial.
It’s the Most Powerful Tool for Success
How I was able to overcome an incurable cancer diagnosis by changing my style — even though doctors told me I wasn’t going to make it.
I had a call. I had no other choice but to answer the call. Reinvent or die.
I was given an incurable cancer diagnosis.
First thing I did? I grabbed a pen and paper and wrote ten things I wanted to achieve.
I was very specific, not leaving ANY details out.
To overcome the onslaught of negative thoughts, self doubt, and uncertainty I faced every single day (not to mention the people that treated me like I was dying)…
I HAD TO DO SOMETHING.
I had to find something to wear that would transport me to a reality where I could achieve all those things on my list with ease and grace.
To open a world of endless possibilities for me.
Where people would treat me like I was the healthiest, glowing, successful person they had ever seen.
I had to find something to wear that was magical.
Something like Dorothy’s ruby red shoes or Cinderella glass slippers.
And that something magical was my sparkly pants.
Wearing them made me feel like a Million Dollar Woman — even though I was technically a cancer patient.
I could see my future so clearly whenever I wore those pants.
Today might have its challenges but tomorrow my world can be so much better.
My heart was pounding with excitement, like I was alive for the very first time.
I felt rebellious…like I was going against the code of what was acceptable for me to wear, especially as a 50 year old woman.
And leaving the house in those pants was a whole different story!
It was as if the street was my runway and the cancer patient was long gone.
What really amazed me was that no one saw that I had undergone chemo.
Isn’t that crazy?? Yes! A piece of clothing can transform your entire life!
That’s because when you embody your vision for your future with your style, it’s like putting on a Superhero cape.
All you need to do is focus on dressing the Million Dollar Woman you want to embody to achieve your dreams and you will get there.
